Hello from Exmouth!
October has arrived in Exmouth, and there’s plenty happening around the Ningaloo Coast as we head into another beautiful month. From local markets and the Heart of Exmouth Street Party to late-season humpback whale sightings and the beginning of turtle nesting season, there’s no shortage of reasons to get out and explore.
It’s also a great time to slow down and enjoy some of the special moments that make Exmouth so unique - whether that’s watching whales cruise through the Gulf at sunset, spotting turtles along the Cape’s beaches, or simply taking in the incredible wildlife and landscapes that surround us.
In this month’s newsletter, we’re sharing what’s happening around town, a few handy tips for getting around, a special turtle photo from one of our talented local photographers, and an introduction to the wonderful Lindsay from our team.
Thanks for joining us for another monthly update. We hope you enjoy this month’s edition, and as always, see you on the bus!

October in Exmouth
- Don’t miss the Heart of Exmouth Street Party on Payne Street and at Federation Park from 3pm-6pm on Saturday 10th October!
An afternoon and evening of live music, entertainers, food trucks, markets, a silent disco and an emergency services demo. This night is not to be missed!
- Head on down to the last Friday Night Market of the year on Friday 2nd October, outside Froth Craft Brewery in Exmouth Town Centre! Lots of local treasures, gifts, photos and more.
- There are still some late season Humpback whales in the Exmouth Gulf, so treat yourself to an evening sunset cruise to see these majestic animals in their natural habitat.
- Turtle nesting season is just kicking off, so keep your eyes peeled on the beaches on the North-Western side of the Cape for female green, hawksbill and loggerhead turtles, hauling themselves up onto the beach to hopefully lay a nest. If you do go searching for them, be sure to only use a red light and keep a good distance, so as not to disturb the turtles doing their thing!

For those catching our airport shuttle, our Tip of the Month is to look for us at the row of desks opposite as you enter the arrivals hall and come say hi!
Knowing that you’ve arrived and letting you know where to go, helps our staff avoid confusion and will save you time

Did you know?
Did you know that the Ningaloo Coast was awarded it’s UNESCO World Heritage Listing in June 2011 for it’s great biodiversity, high instance of endemism and sheer abundance of wildlife. This is not only on the Ningaloo reef, but also terrestrially, in the adjacent limestone karst system running through the Cape Range.

Meet the Team
Originally Kiwi, Lindsay has been living in Exmouth since 2018 and has been working for Exmouth Bus Charters for 1 year.
Anyone who’s met Linds can confirm that she is an absolute ray of sunshine and we feel incredibly lucky to have her on our team!
She has a wealth of knowledge and years of tour guide experience. She tells us her favourite thing about Exmouth is the blue sea stars and Batfish on the Ningaloo Reef!
